The decisions Martin makes are obviously not as closely aligned with his ethics as one would hope. How can such fragmentation, fear, and fecundity lead to Good Ideas? Doubtless, the Ideas themselves must be melted down and re-molded, otherwise dematerialized somehow and returned to the chaos of space-time.
